i left my cat with my parents for two weeks in a split decision because i have to deal with a lot of shit and now i kind of regret it, because i am sitting on my bed and she’s not there, and i hate that.

This is a mega bummer.  I’m allergic to cats, but my family’s had them since I was a kid.  I loved my cats.  We had four, but now it’s down to two.  They used to sleep on my bed, but one day I just decided that the waking up sneezing and dripping all over the place wasn’t worth it.  I see them when I go home, though, and I wish I could have them in my apartment.  Damn allergies.

Hundreds of thousands of perfectly functional cathode ray tubes are being herded up and being left to die a slow painful death in what appears to be some sort of fight club. Just because you bought that new boss LCD doesn’t mean there’s no use for that energy sopping waste of space.. oh. The geeky consumer will note that an HD CRT, while rare, still provides the highest quality picture, with plasma in a close second and LCD in a distant third by a far mile. Contrast ratios with CRT can be much much higher since the image element is EMITTING the light you see, as opposed to an LCD which has a lamp in the back, and attempts to block the colors of light you DON’T see. Simple really. I lol’d
